Neurointerventional Lab

Latest Biplane Flat Panel DSA (digital subtraction angiography) with 3-D technology (Philips Allura Xper FD 20/20 Clarity) provides high-resolution angiogram images of cranial and spinal vessels.

3-D Technology

3-D technology allows construction of images in 3-D format. This helps in precise assessment of diseases affecting blood vessels such as stenosis, aneurysms and vascular malformations. Flat panel technology helps in having high-resolution images with markedly decreased radiation exposure. XPER CT technology This allows for CT-like imaging in the interventional suite. You can assess soft tissue, bone structure, stent deployment, and tumor feeders with precision.

Two C-arms (Biplane)

Two C-arms (Biplane) makes the neurointerventional procedures much safer than the usual single plane units. The only suitemost advanced and latest in technology interventional suite in private sector in Northern India

Neurointerventional Hardware

Neurointerventional material such as coils, microcatheters, balloons, stents and drugs, are readily available in the DSA laboratory. Our teams is the first centre in Northern India to have the penumbra device for acute stroke recanalization. With advancement in technology newer stents (wire caged device) have been introduced and routinely used at our center for clot retrieval in acute ischemic stroke. Our team has the largest experience of treating large vessel blockage with this newer technique.

Neurosonology (Transcranial Dopller)

Transcranial doppler is a non-invasive technique that allows for real time examination of blood flow within the brain. This technique can be used to estimate the brain's susceptibility to stroke and narrowing arteries in the brain. Sound waves inaudible to the human ear, are transmitted through the tissues of the skull. These sound waves reflect off blood cells moving within the blood vessels, allowing the radiologist to calculate their speed. The sound waves are recorded and displayed on a computer screen. Evaluation of blood flow influences the decision on whether to intervene or modify therapy.

Radiosurgery

CyberKnife is a frameless robotic radiosurgery system used to treat arteriovenous malformations and tumors. It delivers targeted radiotherapy in a precise manner thereby maximizing dose delivered to the lesion site while minimising side effects. The new CyberKnife M6 Series has the capabilities and efficiency required for every radiation oncology practice. It is the latest robotic system in the market, developed to meet the evolving needs of the most demanding radiation oncology programs.
